Here Comes Peter Cottontail
(from the archives)

1) Which do you prefer: colored hard-boiled eggs, chocolate marshmallow eggs, or plastic eggs with coins inside? I'll take the plastic eggs

2) What's your favorite color of Peeps (yellow, purple, or pink)? I would hate to break my 55-year streak of never eating a Peep so I'll say none, thank you

3) All this talk of sweets is making Sam hungry. What's for lunch? I had a little tray of cheese, crackers, pepperoni, and grapes

4) This song was introduced by country singer Gene Autry and it's still a favorite. Please share some of the lyrics. (And you're on your own; Sam didn't include a link to the song this week.) "Here comes Peter Cottontail, hopping down the bunny trail"

5) Gene Autry was so popular that a town in Oklahoma named itself for him. Have you ever been to Oklahoma? I have not

6) He and his horse Champion also had a TV show. Can you name another famous horse? Mr Ed

7) Gene Autry also recorded "Rudolph, The Red Nosed Reindeer," and it was, of course, wildly popular, too. Who is your favorite recording artist? lately, I've been listening to The Beatles

8) In 1950, the year Autry recorded this song, Diner's Club issued the first credit card. Think of the last thing you purchased. Did you use cash, a credit card, a debit card, an e-wallet service (Visa Checkout, Paypal, Google Pay, Apple Pay ...) or a check? I used Venmo to pay for flowers at the flower farm

9) Easter is recognized as the start of the spring season. What are you looking forward to this spring? sitting on the porch to read or to shoot the breeze with my bestie

My father had a Dinner's Club card, we thought that it was so neat.

Mr Ed! Never thought of him!

Taking time off from my Roku to answer this. LOL.

Mr. Ed really was a smart horse. At first, they got him to talk by putting this awful thing in his mouth (nylon or wire, depending on which account you read). Eventually, he would do it on his own when Wilbur stopped talking. Who's a good boy? Ed's a good boy!

Your 55-year-streak with Peeps made me laugh. Good job.

Mr. Ed! How I loved that show in the way back.
Peeps are supposed to be horrible. It's a cult thing or it would be GONE! lol

I love sitting on the porch. I do not like Peeps either. I think I took a bite once and that was it. Loved your answers! Have a nice weekend and Happy Easter!
