Three Things

Three names you go by, other than your given name: family nicknames, Ms., and Kwizgiver

Three things you like about yourself: I am a very good listener, I have a good memory, I am a lifelong learner

Three things you don't like about yourself: I am self-critical, I have no interest in keeping a tidy home, I don't like when I'm being snarky although it amuses me in the moment

Three parts of your heritage: French, German, and Irish

Three things you are wearing right now: sweatshirt, jeans, and comfortable socks (I would rather be barefoot so the comfort of socks is a big deal to me)

Three favorite bands/musical artists: U2, the Beatles, George Michael

Three favorite songs: "One", "Let It Be," and "Faith"

Three things you want in a relationship: compassion, grace, laughter

Three of your favorite hobbies: reading, knitting, shopping

Three things that scare you: being dependent on others due to illness, lingering death, cats hissing

Three of your everyday essentials: Dunkin' iced coffee, laughter, and a refreshing shower

Three places you want to go on vacation: Italy, Ireland, there

Three careers you have considered/are considering: retirement, working at the local library, being a helpline counselor

Three things you want to do before you die: retire from teaching, have an epic sister trip, take an epic vacation with my friends

Three things you want to do really badly right now: fluff my hair because I have hat head from being outdoors in the sub-zero temperatures, make a yummy homemade soup, buy some yarn

I've got a weird memory; I can remember all manner of trivial nonsense but sometimes I forget obvious things.

You know - I quite fancy working in a library.

:o)

Cheers

The musicians on my page -- Lawsuit was my kids' band, for 10 years. Stopped in 1996. They are the ones who wrote "Funny the World," which I used as the title for my blog.
Steve Schalchlin is a friend I made after seeing his musical. The song I linked to is one I want him to sing at my funeral.
The Righteous Mothers are a group I saw in Olympia. So, so funny. You should check their site and listen to some of their songs. https://righteousmothers.bandcamp.com/track/old-fat-naked-women-for-peace-2

Having a tidy home is overrated. Mine is clean but a bit cluttered. And a lingering death - yeah that is scary. I just want to go to sleep and not wake up.

Did you know that George Michael is up for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? He's currently leading on the fan ballot. https://vote.rockhall.com/en/

I also hate to be dependent... but I draw a line now between needing someone for the odd chores and needing someone for personal hygiene.
I hate the last and I don't like to ask for help. Found that out the past time when I couldn't walk.

Get those epic vacations!

I had one last year and it did me so much good.

Enjoy your week!
