Family
1. How big is your immediate family? Who are the members? my parents and my 3 older sisters, 2 brothers-in-law, 7 nieces and nephews with 3 of them married with 6 great-nieces and nephews among them, and one nephew engaged
2. Who are you closest to in your family? What kind of relationship do you have with that person? Is it like friendship? I am exceptionally close to my parents and it is better than friendship
3. Which day of the year are you most likely to spend with your family? Christmas
4. As a child, did you go on family trips? What do you remember about those vacations? I remember being stuck in the car--too many people, not enough room
5. Is there a black sheep in your family? What is different about them? I guess I might be considered the black sheep because I'm the only one who's never married or had children
6. Do you know your extended family? How many of them have you met? I know my mother's side of the family the best, although I don't see them very often
7. Have you ever been to a family reunion? How was it? oh--my mother's side of the family is a BLAST to be around
8. Who are you most proud of among your relatives? Who do you look up to? my dad--his award of an honorary doctoral degree from my alma mater was a true lifetime achievement and I couldn't have been more thrilled for him
9 What characteristics have you inherited from your parents? Do you look like them? Do you behave like they do? I look like my father's mother, my beloved grandmother and I am very, very much my father's daughter in behavior
10. Does your family have any heirlooms? Will you inherit anything that has been in the family a long time? no
11. What happens to old people in your family? Do they live with younger family members or move to a retirement home? How would you prefer to spend your old age? my grandmother lived in her own home until months before her death and I hope to be like that--the alternative is to build a granny pod on my Virginia sister's land and live there
12. If you are married, how well do you get along with your in-laws? not married
13. What do people mean when they say, “you can choose your friends, but you can’t choose your family”? it means that sometimes the family you create has more secure bonds than blood bonds
14. If you live far away from some members of your family, how do you keep in touch? How often do you communicate? I email or text message members of my family daily--although I need to be more frequent in reaching out to nieces and nephews
15. Are you so close to any of your friends that you consider them to be like family? yes, my bestie is a bonus sister

You are so blessed to have such close relationships with your parents and siblings.
I love how close you are with your family. And that you have sisters! I always wanted one of those, lol.
I love how you describe your family
I feel the same about my bestie too.
I like your answer to #13. A granny pod in Virginia! That made me smile.
