the friday 56

Rules:

*Grab a book, any book.

*Turn to page 56 or 56% in your eReader (If you have to improvise, that's ok.)

*Find any sentence, (or few, just don't spoil it)

*Post it.

I'm reading Shucked Apart by Barbara Ross, part of the Maine Clam Bake series.

Page 151:

Ming was at the bar at Mack's Shack when I walked in, giving the bartender with the ponytail instructions.  I sat at the bar a few stools away from them, not interrupting exactly, but close enough that Ming would notice me.

She came over as soon as her conversation was done.  "Hi, Julia.  What brings you here?"
