ten things tuesday

Ten random things:

1)  Today is a remote day of school because of the dangerous heat.  When it's 85° in the classrooms they have to dismiss school--and since we don't have air conditioning in any of our schools it happens.  Unusually, it's happening in June, but I'm glad that I don't have to wear a mask in this heat.  It's currently 86° in the living room, but fans are moving the air.

2)  I actually dozed off during one of my class times this morning, it's a good thing I jolted awake in time to start my next class!

3)  I applied for a personal day for next Monday since I don't have any students.  There's no point in me being there watching the clock.  

4)  The last day of school is next Tuesday at noon.  I can't wait for this year to be done.  It's been challenging and difficult--but you know what?  There's been a lot of resiliency and innovation.  I've learned a lot.  But I'm glad for this year to end.

5)  I'm looking forward to next year.  I figure that's saying a lot after the shitshow of this year.

6)  Today is Best Friends Day.  I wish I had known sooner so I could really celebrate my bestie.

7)  I really like Harry Styles.

8)  Drink more water!!!! (note to self)

9)  I'm fantasizing about air conditioning.

10) This is in my future...
