ten things tuesday

Ten random things:

1)  I've been thinking about what I should do for Christmas. I guess I should see what the surgeon says before I start making any plans.  I might be recuperating.

2)  I kind of thought I would hear the results of the ultrasound by now.  I'm being impatient, though, I'll hear something this afternoon at my consultation with the surgeon.

3)  My Pennsylvania sister is getting a couple of shawls from me for Christmas.  She picked them out this morning--I sent photos so she could choose.

4)  Even though I have a substitute for the day of school, I've had to start the Zoom meetings and then make the sub the host.  I mean... 😕

5)  I wonder if anyone actually listens to the spam calls about the extended warranty on their car?

6)  I need to set up my DVD player so I can watch my holiday favorites!

7)  I am knitting a pair of mittens for my Virginia sister (even though she knits--don't ask) and this is the third attempt at the right one.  If there wasn't an intricate pattern, it wouldn't be a big deal to whip up some generic mittens, but she wanted fancy ones.  I've even looked through the comments on the pattern to see if there's an error, but nope, it's just me.

8)  Has it really been 40 years since John Lennon died?  I can't wrap my head around that--I was in English class when I heard and was absolutely stunned and saddened.

9)  It's a good thing this is a pay week.  I'm running out of moolah.

10)  A get well shout out to The Gal.  Wishing you a full and speedy recovery with no lingering nastiness.  I've missed you!!

Thanks for the shoutout! I'm enjoying catching up with you (even as the news sounds harrowing).
