All Of Me
1) John Legend sings he loves his woman's "perfect imperfections." Tell us something quirky or imperfect about a loved one that you would not change. My Virginia sister tends to rant when we're chatting--there's seems to be something she needs to vent about but it turns into a rant
2) John wrote this love song to his wife, Chrissy Teigen. The couple recently lost their baby after pregnancy complications. To whom did you most recently send a sympathy (or "thinking of you") card or message? my aunt is a recent widow, I sent her a card since I don't feel comfortable visiting her during Covid

3) While adventurous in his creative career choices, John admits his taste in food leans toward the tried and true. His favorites are chicken (rotisserie or fried), macaroni and cheese, and steamed vegetables. What's on your weekend menu? my bestie is making me some Italian Sausage Soup!
4) When he was growing up, John's mother, Phyllis, helped support the family as a seamstress. Are you any good with a needle and thread? I'm good enough for basic things like buttons and hems

5) As a child, he was such a big fan of Andy Griffith and Matlock that he wanted to be a lawyer. If you grew up to have the same occupation as the TV character you liked best as a kid, what would you be doing? a private detective (the Rockford Files)
6) John is a judge on The Voice. Do you watch that show? Or America's Got Talent, or American Idol? I used to watch all three at various times, but then I felt inundated with talent shows and stopped watching all of them
7) In 2013, the year this song was popular, twin baby pandas were born at Zoo Atlanta. Their panda parents had been given to the US as a gift from the Chinese, with the understanding that any offspring would be given to China. So, in 2016, the panda cubs were flown to a Chinese conservation center. They had a hard time adjusting at first, confused by jet lag, unresponsive when spoken to in Chinese, unimpressed by their new diet. Have you ever found yourself similarly overwhelmed when you traveled far from home? (BTW, the pandas are doing just fine now in their permanent Chinese home.) oh man--when I first landed in Ireland I couldn't understand the accent at all--it wasn't like the Lucky Charms character in ads on TV and I didn't have a clue about the currency
8) Also in 2013, The Pope posted his first tweet. What social media platforms do you regularly use? I regularly use Instagram and Facebook, occasionally Twitter, and if GoodReads counts I'm on that daily!
9) Random question: Have you ever a) written something on a public wall or b) carved anything into a tree or bench? I have written on a graffiti wall that was part of a public art project

I LOVE Goodreads! That is how I find new books to read.

It is my brother who I vent to, he always has a sympathetic ear.
#7 -- A few weeks ago we watched an ancient Hitchcock movie from the days before Hitch came to Hollywood. The British accents were SO THICK I had to turn on closed captioning to follow the action!
I love close captioning, even with American broadcasts. I can hear fine, but I also like seeing what I might have missed if I wasn't paying attention.
Now I have to go back and change my answer to #9. LOL I didn't count painting my name and handprints on the wall of the church youth room.
That was funny about you not being able to understand the accents in Ireland. TV programs over the years helped me, "The Resident Magistrate" especially. Scottish accents get me. I'm going..."WhaaaaT?"
I can't really REALLY vent to anyone except my own inner family, so your sister probably vents to you because she is much more comfortable around you than others.
