ten things tuesday

From Eight Pepperberries:

1) Bon Appetite!  Your favorite Fall food/drink.  I have to admit that I really like apple cider.  Warmed up or chilled it doesn't make a difference.

2) Something you are struggling with. I'm driving the Struggle Bus in technological terms today.  I was flummoxed that I was locked out of Google and the suite of apps we use at school.  Ugh.

3) Describe your personality. I'd say that I'm an even-keeled ambivert.  I can be gregarious but I can also be quiet.

4) What does your dream home look like? This isn't anything I ever dream about--other than wanting to spruce up this place with a fresh coat of paint and some new living room furniture

5) Trick or Treat!  Brainstorm Halloween costumes. I usually go as a middle-aged crabby woman

6) A part of nature you are thankful for. This time of year I am delighted to be able to wear a light cardigan and light layers--so moderate temperatures PLUS the gorgeous colors

7) Colors, tastes, smells that remind you of Fall. Orange, deep red, and olive green are the colors: tastes would be crisp apples, and smells are cinnamon and bread

8) Share your favorite poem. I have a few favorite poems--today it's this one: The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

9) By the end of the year, I want to: set reasonable goals and intentions for next year

10) Coffee or Tea?  How do you prepare it?  What are your favorite flavors? I like iced coffee year-round, I like regular coffee (no flavors) with cream and sugar.  Although I have been kind of hankering for hot coffee this week.
