Live Like You Were Dying

1) This song is about a man whose father advises him to live life to the fullest, to become "the friend you'd like to have." How about you? Are you the friend you'd like to have? I would be friends with me--but I aspire to be the friend The Gal is.

2) The song lists several "bucket list" items: skydiving, mountain climbing, riding a bull. Have you done any of those things? Would you like to? I have been mountain climbing and didn't enjoy it. I would love to go skydiving.

3) In the music video, Tim McGraw is wearing a white button-down shirt, blue jeans and a cowboy hat. Which of those items is in your wardrobe? I have a white button-down shirt and blue jeans

4) He wears a cowboy hat because he is embarrassed by the size of his forehead. When you wear a hat, are you more likely doing it for style, like Tim, or for protection from the elements? I am protecting myself from the elements

5) McGraw's biological father was Tug McGraw, pitcher for the Mets and Phillies. How did your baseball team do this season? The Red Sox are third in the division (I don't know what that means, Alexa told me)

6) Tim McGraw and wife Faith Hill live just outside of Nashville. They enjoy inviting friends over to sit around a bonfire, drinking beer and playing guitars. Tell us about the most recent gettogether you had with friends. most memorably, my bestie and I went to visit our friend in New Hampshire--one stellar night we went to a taco bar and drank a pitcher of margaritas

7) Tim likes his tattoos. He admits his silliest one -- a leprechaun wearing a cowboy hat -- was acquired during a night of drinking. Do you have a tattoo? If so, are you glad you have it and would you get it again? one I would not get again--or I would rethink the design, but I love them all (all six of them)

8) In 2003, when this song was popular, the supersonic Concord took its last flight. When did you most recently board a plane? What was your destination? I haven't been on a plane since April 2001--on my way to Washington, DC

9) Random question: When did you last walk around the house naked? it's been quite awhile

Just the thought of jumping out of the plane gives me the willies!

Gal is a great friend. True. She has that gene, I think.
A pitcher of margaritas among friends sounds lovely.

Maybe in my younger days I would try mountain climbing but not now, it gives me vertigo just thinking about it.

Maybe I should get a tattoo. Something Wiccan. I will have to think about that.

#1 -- Thank you! I'm insecure about a lot of things, but I know I'm a good friend. I work at it. (I'm not entirely successful, I can be too bossy ...)

#5 -- Oh, the Red Sox! Their record was almost identical to my Cubs', but because of how successful NY and Tampa were early on, they were out of it before the Cubs were. In a way, I wish our season had gone that way. If we' been eliminated earlier, I would have given up sooner and this wouldn't hurt so much. (And it's stupid how much this hurts.)

#6 -- I haven't had a margarita since summer!

A taco bar and a pitcher of margaritas sounds very appealing right now.
