Ten tips for hygge:



1. Spend quality time with friends and family--laughing is the best medicine

2. Sit by a roaring log fire--even if it's an app or on Youtube

3. Keep things simple--simple foods, like soups, are perfect this time of year

4. Dim the lights and use candles instead--soft lights, fairy lights, and candles

5. Be present--turn off the electronics and spend quality time with your friend, family, or yourself

6. Get comfy & relax--cozy sweater, socks, blankets, and comfy clothes

7. Drink cocoa--sip slowly

8. Don't deprive yourself--indulge in something

10. Pick up a book--get lost in the pages

  1. These are all good. I especially like #10. I'm in the midst of a real-life murder mystery and I escape to it whenever I can. (I should read WITH cocoa.)
