ten bookish questions

As seen at Musings from a Bookmammal:

1. Do you read during breakfast? not really

2. How many hours a day would you say you read? at least one hour of pleasure reading and countless hours of work-related reading

3. Do you read more or less now than you did, say, 10 years ago? I think I read more--both for pleasure and for work

4. Do you consider yourself a speed reader? not usually, although I can speed read

5. Do you carry a book with you everywhere you go? not now that there are apps for that!

6. How old were you when you got your first library card? I was a toddler--I've always had one

7. What’s the oldest book you have in your collection? (Oldest physical copy? Longest in the collection? Oldest copyright?) Oldest physical copy, I believe, is my signed copy of Stephen King's Night Shift

8. Do you read in bed? it's my favorite place to read

9. Do you write in your books? only texts for school

10. If you had one piece of advice to a new reader, what would it be? read everything!

Great questions! I own a Kindle and I very rarely buy a purse that my Kindle won't fit in. I probably have two of those. Ha. I do carry my Kindle with me most of the time and I also have apps on my phone. I am never without something to read. :)

I agree, great questions. I have an Android tablet with my Kindle app on it, which has over 400 books now. It is lovely that I can carry them everywhere I go!! :)

Read everything is great advice. You won't know what or who you like until you sample around. PS, I stole this. :)
