musing mondays

Musing Mondays asks you to muse about one of the following each week…

• I’m currently reading…
• Up next I think I’ll read…
• I bought the following book(s) in the past week…
• I’m super excited to tell you about (book/author/bookish-news)…
• I’m really upset by (book/author/bookish-news)…
• I can’t wait to get a copy of…
• I wish I could read ___, but…
• I blogged about ____ this past week…

This week’s random question: What is your favorite lesson learned, or quote, from a recent book you’ve read?

“We are surrounded by monsters," she said. "We can cower before them or we can pick one and sink our teeth in with the aim to give it hell.”
― Eli Brown, Cinnamon and Gunpowder

I'm not reading it very quickly but it's fun.

This book sounds fascinating. I'll have to remember it for my niece (if ever she has an opportunity to read anything other than textbooks).
