Blues In The Night

1) Was last night a good night for you? Or were you singing the blues? it was not a good sleep night, I was up for hours although I wasn't restless

2) In this song, Rosemary Clooney sings about hearing "big talk" she didn't quite believe. What's the last fib, tall tale or out and out lie you heard? I teach high school...

3) Rosemary Clooney has a well-known nephew -- George, the Oscar winner and frequent People magazine cover story. Do you have any nieces or nephews? I adore my nieces and nephews: Jake, Jess, Miss G, Adam, Natalie, Rachel, and Fran! I might love them more than I love George Clooney.

4) Ms. Clooney married the same man twice. They married, had five children and divorced. Then three years later, they tried again ... and divorced again. Have you ever been tempted to give it another try with one of your former loves? there is one I would try again, I've changed for the better and it might work this time

5) Singers as diverse as Linda Ronstadt, Bette Midler and Amy Winehouse have said they admired and were influenced by Rosemary Clooney. If you could meet any artist (singer, writer, actor, director, painter, musician ...), who would it be? it would be fun to meet Bono, or any of U2, to discuss their career and humanitarian work

6) 1952, the year this record was a hit, is also the year the "Big Bang Theory" was introduced by physicists Ralph Alpher and George Gamow. That is too lofty a topic for this humble meme, so instead we'll just ask: Do you watch the TV show of the same name? usually, it's one I think is quite clever

7) Sam Winters just broke her right thumbnail. While she won't go so far as saying it has her singing the blues, she must admit it bugs her. What little annoyances are you dealing with today? I have to slug my stuff to the laundromat and I always am in a funk until I get there

8) The house next door to Sam's has a FOR SALE on the lawn. Are you contemplating a move? nope

9) What's your search engine of choice: Google, Bing, Yahoo or Ask? Google

I am sorry you have to go with the Laundromat. My washing machine is my #1 appliance I would not do without, followed by my dishwasher.

I used to hate going to the laundromat in college. You were stuck there until they were done.

I would hate having to go to the laundromat! I imagine you hear quite a few lies from the high schoolers :)

I love your comment about "I teach high school" made me laugh.....yeah a lot of those kids know how to tell a story and never once tell a lie...just not the truth!

George really is on the cover of People this coming week. He was grinning at me from mailbox yesterday.

"I teach high school" could be the best answer this week. Too funny and true I am sure

Sounds like we had the same "restful" night last night...or not.

And, like the others, I had to laugh at your answer about hearing lies. Even when they aren't out-and-out lying, there is definitely some "fronting" going on most of the time with that age, eh?

Good Lord! Thank you for reminding me. BIL had a medical emergency- his only good eye - and I have some stewing laundry in the washer. *dashes off to get it in the dryer*

What I really wanted to say was that the minute the alluded nephew appeared in this meme, I thought of you. He is a wonderful guy, DH just told me a new story about him.

It would be interesting to talk to Bono about his humanitarian work. I've heard he is quite involved. Wouldn't it be great to have the money to be able to be involved in a big way in some cause you're passionate about?
