musing mondays

Musing Mondays asks you to muse about one of the following each week…

• Describe one of your reading habits.
• Tell us what book(s) you recently bought for yourself or someone else, and why you chose that/those book(s).
• Tell us what you’re reading right now — what you think of it, so far; why you chose it; what you are (or, aren’t) enjoying about it.
• What book are you currently desperate to get your hands on? Tell us about it!
• Do you have a bookish rant? Something about books or reading (or the industry) that gets your ire up? Share it with us!
• Instead of the above questions, maybe you just want to ramble on about something else pertaining to books — let’s hear it, then!

I am on vacation this week and want to get a lot of reading in. It got me thinking about the types of reading I do while on vacation--that I want to read breezy, cozy, lighthearted books. Maybe it's because I want a brain-break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Those are also the type of books I read on vacation and if the truth is told the type I read a lot when I am not on vacation.

Part of the holiday excitement for me is choosing holiday reads. This starts months before my holiday where books are categorised for holiday even though the genres pretty much stay the same.

What a wonderful way to spend a vacation, just reading books that are light hearted and cozy. Good choice.

I've never really thought about it. I've been on holidays with classics, philosophy and YA. But I rarely get any reading done. I'm less of a beach-sitter and more of a city explorer.
