Sunday Stealing: They Say It's Your Birthday
1. as you get older, are you jazzed about your birthday? yes!
2. do people usually remember your birthday? it's usually announced at school during morning announcements
3. an ex-coworker used to begin 3 mos. before her birthday flat-out reminding us that it was coming up. it's amazing what no self-esteem does for you. anyway, do you know anyone who pre-announces their birthdays? most of my students do this
4. what was your best birthday? why? my 40th because it was a real celebration
5. what was your worst birthday? why? probably my 7th, the year my mum died
6. name your best birthday gift. any gift delights me
7. name the best birthday gift you've gotten for someone else. a spa day for my sister's 50th birthday--massage, facial, manicure, pedicure, and hair cut and color. Definitely something she would never have done for herself!
8. as i age, i value SLEEP as a priceless commodity. i didn't get any for my birthday, however. what do you want this year for your birthday? I want to stop sneezing and coughing!

Your spa gift sounds heavenly! I think those are the best kinds of gifts--things that the recipient would never take the time or dollars to do for themselves!
My mom always used to tell me a cold lasts 9 days -- 3 days coming, 3 days here, 3 days leaving. Where are you in the course of your bug?
I would be mortified if my birthday was announced to the whole school.
Ha, ha! I work with kids, too, and they are definitely not shy about letting us know about their birthdays are they?
40 is fabulous and should be celebrated!
