I saw an article on BookFace that listed Madonna's ten best hits. I think they got it all wrong. So here, in no particular order, are my ten favorite Madonna songs:
1) Vogue. This is my favorite workout song. It's got a great walking rhythm. I love the spoken part--the shout out to an age gone by.
2) Like A Prayer. I admit, because of all the controversy about the video I didn't listen to the song. I heard it one day in the grocery store (of all places) and fell in love with it.
3) Ray of Light. It's got an exotic sound for a dance song.
4) Crazy For You. Unrequited love. I was crazy for a particular guy when this song was popular.
5) Music. I love the over-the-top video.
6) Secret. There's something so sultry about the bridge to this song.
7) Four Minutes. With a little help from Justin Timberlake and Timbaland, this song is cool.
8) I'll Remember. From the movie soundtrack With Honors. I watched this film with my AP Psych class and heard the song again for the first time in a very long time.
9) La Isla Bonita. There's something vacation-y about this song. At least I've always felt that way.
10) Get Into The Groove. A fun 80s dance tune. Wasn't it from the movie Desperately Seeking Susan?
