childhood

Day 18, Saturday: Tell a story from your childhood. Dig deep and try to be descriptive about what you remember and how you felt.

My sisters used to tease me terribly. They would take books away from me, read the ending, then tell me all about the ending--ruining the book. I remember how frustrated, powerless, and angry I was. Just thinking about how awfully they teased me gives me a knot in the pit of my stomach.

Has that relationship affected you as an adult? I think I would always remember.

What a horrible thing to do to a lover of books...

I'm not too disappointed that I never had a sister. My little brother and I never got along, and that was enough.

Sisters can be the worst sometimes

That's awful. I used to sit on my big sis and tickle her until she peed. I was a terrorist.

That is the worst thing you could do to a book lover. Either that or tear out pages.

I remember seeing my girls doing things like that when they were growing up. I feel your pain!
