Brand New Me
1) It's a brand new year! Do you have any resolutions for 2013? yes, to read 50 books and to be a better teacher, student, daughter, sister, and friend.
2) Dusty Springfield sang of feeling "brand new." What leaves you feeling refreshed and/or rejuvenated? a visit to my hair goddess
3) Dusty's given name was Mary Catherine. If you could give yourself a brand new first name, what would it be? definitely a vowel name--like Emma
4) Actor Billy Bob Thornton has dismissed antiques, saying, "I'm creeped out by old stuff." Do you ever shop at estate sales, yard sales or second-hand stores? Or do you want everything brand new? never been to an estate sale, but I do occasionally visit yard sales and second-hand stores... the only furniture I have that is brand new is my new rocker recliner (and I got that in December!)
5) Are you sad to see the holiday decorations slowly disappear until next year? Or do you think they should come down on January 2? I'm really kind of sad, I LOVE the holiday season
6) Do you like the picture on your photo ID? I think I look like a smug drunk, but it's not a terrible picture for a drivers license... I do like my passport photo
7) Crazy Sam shudders at the very thought of a snake. Which is your least favorite member of the Animal Kingdom? other than creepy-crawly insects, I really don't care for birds
8) What's the most recent magazine you flipped through? People magazine, it's my guilty pleasure
9) Do you have nice handwriting? well... I can have nice handwriting... as a teacher it's something I practice

Love your book challenge....I just read an awesome book--Crewel by Gennifer Albin. Her world building is amazing--it's a dystopian story set in a world where women weave time....
I told you not to go to motor vehicle drunk. Gees...
"Emma" would have nice handwriting, so it fits.
