This week’s musing — courtesy of http://abookandashortlatte.wordpress.com – asks…
• Do you take notes while you read?
• Do you take notes while you read?
It depends on my purpose for reading. When I read for pleasure, I generally do not take notes. If I'm reading for school (or school-related activities) I take a lot of notes. If I'm reading sample texts or books that I might assign to my students, I tend to take some notes. Usually fiction = no notes, non-fiction = notes. But again, it's the purpose for the reading.
It's a very good question. I have some friends in my reading group who always take notes over every single thing they read. I find it distracting.

Well my school days sure long behind me...so no notes.
I highlight in Kindle and take notes later, but there are other things I do. quote books, note taking... is part of my obsession.
