Usually my Labor Day experience is all about having a day off and enjoying the day off. But today I'm reflecting on the story behind the day--all the sacrifices that have been made. This is a contract negotiation year and I'm conscious of the process and the hard work that goes into creating the contract. My union does a lot for me, even though I don't necessarily agree with everything it says. I'd rather be a part of it than not.
