Ten things that begin with the letter M:
1) Music. I used to make a lot of mixed tapes. I wish I had the technology to make all the tapes into CDs.
2) Movies. There's something magical about sitting in the dark with a big screen sprawling in front.
3) Monsters. My favorite part of Sesame Street were all the goofy and groovy monsters. And they were all so friendly, except for Oscar.
4) Money. I often wish I wasn't so... needy.
5) Magic. I'm a sucker for a good magic trick. Oh, really, I'm a sucker for a bad magic trick.
6) Munchies. Particularly potato chips. Or chocolate.
7) Moving. I've been unpacking and lugging and moving from classroom to classroom in the past few weeks. What a hassle.
8) Mystery. I love delving into a mystery--either television or books.
9) Moose. The local animal that makes me nervous when I drive at night. So big. So stupid.
10) Memory. I have a very good memory, but I do write things down. My friends at book group are always amazed at my recall.

RE conversion of tapes to CDs: there are often companies that do this, some maybe online. I'll do some research. I know I can do it with a thingy we bought my father-in-law: it transfers records and tapes to CDs! :-)
OK, follow-up: looks like you can find a much less expensive converter (like, under $30), or check one of the companies listed.
(I'm TOTALLY counting this as a reference question at work! lol)
I know I resent how much time I spend thinking about money, and it sounds like you do, too. I wonder if moose are as stupid at negotiating traffic as deer.
Oh, Cat, THANK YOU!!!!!!!
