Play along with the Bumbles.

This week's movie topic is all about Memorable Oscar Moments.

Marlon Brando's famous refusal of the Oscar is the first thing that popped into mind, even though I was just a wee one when it happened, I grew up hearing about it. Another one that was charming was Sally Fields' acceptance. The one that moved me, though was Tom Hanks' acceptance for Philadelphia. Oh, then there's Cuba Gooding or Adrian Brody's huge smooch. Or Roberto Benigni climbing on all the seats.

The one that happened when I was too young to recall it - but that SCANDALIZED everyone - was Liz Taylor's first Oscar for Butterfield 8. She was a homewreckin' harlot in the movie, and in real life, for taking Eddie Fisher away from Debbie Reynolds. But she almost died from pneumonia, so everyone was sorry they called her a "ho" and gave her the award. BUT she didn't act chastened by near death or being cast out as a "ho" at all. She wore a sexy dress and showed off her tracheotomy scar and smoked cigarettes from a long gold holder at the after parties. SHOCKING!!!!! Kinda like the year Angelina Jolie kissed her brother.
