My dining room is now my office because I don't cook either. I read cookbooks a lot, but I don't actually do the dirty deed.
Love the response to "be nice." It was one of the rules I had to lay down when I took my current job. I told them they could complain to one another and they needed to resolve their own spats, but if they couldn't, I would do it for them - and they probably wouldn't like it. Everyone thought I was talking about someone else - but they're all being polite to one another now.
Love cherries jubilee. I'd never had it and ordered it for room service on my wedding night because it sounded grown up and sophisticated, the way I hoped I'd be. What a lesson I learned that night (about when to order cherries jubilee and about growing up!)
