Let's see... three support groups (I believe in giving back the support when I came out.), one advocacy group and one coalition against discrimination.
Oh I was such a joiner: in school it was Brownies & Girls Scouts & Rainbow Girls and every possible school group (I was always pretty popular and very outgoing & active). As an adult I was a member of the Officers' Wives Club and everything connected thereto and the PTA and everything connected thereto and. . . oh, you get the idea. Later on, it was the parish council and Catholic Women of the Chapel and Cursillo and, and, and, . . . Now I'm not a member of anything and I'm starting to find I miss it, but for a while it has been a delicious period of personal time. Perhaps I'm starting up again by joining blog memes?
