It was not worth it. I don't even know if she reacted, I feel so badly that nothing registers. Once my mouth opened and the words came out there was no way to take it back.:-(Not my proudest moment.
Oh, I'm sorry. Isn't it amazing the trouble we create for ourselves, and the guilt we feel afterwards? If she's a good friend, she'll forgive you. The hard part, though, sounds like YOU forgiving you.Hugs.
