drumroll please...

So, Wednesday I thought it would be fun to create a little game--kind of getting to know me, as I've met some wonderful blogging buddies recently.

Here's the post: what if this is as good as it gets?: let's play a little game...

And the winner:
Nana & Wendy

My father hosted a local tv station's County Telequiz "college bowl" type game for high school students for about six years or so during the 1980s. Because of where we live, at that time there was very limited cable TV so everyone in the region knew my dad and watched the show. I was always bummed because I couldn't be a contestant. I would've rocked that show.

My fear of heights disappeared when I kissed the Blarney Stone. You have to lie on your back and then lean your head and shoulders back to kiss the stone. There's a fella to hold you steady, he's a fantastic storyteller--and I remember a photographer being there, too. After climbing up the rickety castle staircase (that were so narrow I had to turn sideways in places) and walking out onto the top, I refused to let my fear get the better of me. (As in, I climbed all this way--I'm kissing the damn stone!) So, alcohol prep in hand (we'd been warned by the locals), I relaxed from the stories he told us and DID IT!! While lying there, I was just so amazed, impressed and inspired by the lushness of the greens.

So, it is not true that I didn't go to the Eiffel Tower. I'll save that story for another day.

I had fun thinking of the three things. And I loved the responses. Maybe I'll do this on a regular basis... who knows? Feel free to swipe the idea. Just let me know so I can play along!

How cool! We still have one of those local "college bowl" type shows. Luckily, my father is not the host. ;-)

That was fun! I hope you'll do that one again, and I do think I will swipe it.
