So, I ducked out of lunch with "the lunch bunch" tomorrow because I don't want to socialize with the principal. I am not sure why it is a big deal for me to choose not to go to the lunch. When I was told the principal would be there a pregnant pause swept through the room. A final head count was taken and I subtracted myself from the number said aloud. When asked, I said I changed my mind. Another person chimed in but then was told his home and garden was the final stop on the garden tour. So, I guess he's in. But he'd rather be out.
Not a big deal. I don't want to hang out with my principal. I think it's inappropriate for me to have a friendship cultivated. That's how I feel.
