it's relative

1. who's the oldest living member of your family? Dad turned 70!!!

2. who's the newest? Italy-niece F. She was born one day before me, and my sister M was her Doula.

3. if you could spend a two-week vacation with one family member, who would it be? only one? Uhmmm... I guess I would go with any of them (children included). I know I travel well with Dad, as we've toured Europe together. I really can't think of one I wouldn't want to spend a two-week vacation with.

4. the old saying goes, "you can pick your friends, but you cannot pick your family." if you could choose one of your friends, who would you 'elect' to become a member of your family? I would choose T.N. because she's an only child. It would be interesting to see how she responds to having instant sibling stuff in her life. Plus, she's one of my dearest, long-time friends (notice I didn't say oldest friend??).

5. who in your family can you just NOT stand? Right now there isn't anyone to fit that role. I'm working on building and rebuilding relationships.

6. do you have a member of the family who is currently suffering an illness? (i'm going for physical illness here, but feel free to talk about the batshit-crazy ones, too) I guess I would be that candidate: not only recovering from PTSD, but last summer's Pulmonary Emboli incident. Marmo is still having problems from shattering her ankle two years ago. I can't think of anything else that's major.

7. do you have a family member that you've lost contact with? who are they, and why do you not currently have contact? no one in my immediate family. Although, I admit I am not as good at keeping in touch with everyone as I could be.

8. do you have any famous family members? Not famous-famous, but my father is well-known and well-respected in these parts. Actually, throughout the whole state.
