I love my clothes

A friend emailed this story to me... I thought it was funny because I relate to it so much. Especially the first one: Till Death...

'all' Clothing Love Report

GREENWICH, Conn., Feb. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- ISSUE NO.1 -- ACCORDING TO A RECENT SURVEY OF AMERICANS ABOUT THEIR BEHAVIORS AND ATTITUDES WHEN IT COMES TO CLOTHING AND RELATIONSHIPS:

TILL DEATH DO US PART ... The average woman between the ages of 18 and 54 has hung on to her favorite article of clothing for 12 1/2 years. That's one year longer than she's held on to her longest relationship which only lasted 11 1/2 years.

I ONLY HAVE EYES FOR YOU ... Almost three-quarters of respondents (70 percent) said that they believe in love at first sight when it comes to finding the perfect article of clothing while only 54 percent of people surveyed believe in love at first sight when it comes to finding the perfect guy.

I'LL BE THERE FOR YOU ... Nearly half of the women surveyed (48 percent) say their favorite article of clothing is more reliable than their man when it comes to making them feel confident.

EAT YOUR HEART OUT (BUT DON'T GIVE ME CHOCOLATE) ... Forget the traditional romantic gifts this Valentine's Day! Six out of 10 women surveyed (62 percent) would rather receive the outfit they have been eyeing in the store window for Valentine's Day rather than flowers (24 percent) or chocolate (14 percent).

ANYTHING FOR LOVE ... Even abstaining from sex for a month! Sixty-one percent of the women surveyed said it would be worse to lose their favorite article of clothing forever than to give up sex for a month.

I'LL NEVER LET YOU GO ... Women will go through great measures to preserve the clothing they love. For 38 percent of the women, that means never lending out that article of clothing. Twenty-three percent would not trust their significant other to wash that special item.

HOOKED ON A FEELING ... Almost half of the single women surveyed (48 percent) say they rely more on their favorite article of clothing to make them feel sexy than they rely on their man. More than one third of married women (38 percent) feel the same way.

WHY CLOTHES ARE BETTER THAN MEN ... "They don't talk back," "They need less fussing over," "They last longer," "They never complain," and "They make you look good" are among some of the top reasons according to the women surveyed.

LET'S TALK ABOUT SEX (NOT IN THE NEAR FUTURE) ... On average, those surveyed would be willing to give up sex for 15 months for a closet full of new clothes. And two percent of women in this group would give up sex for three years for a new wardrobe!

* This survey was conducted among women 18-54 nationally and also in 10 major cities: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Dallas, Las Vegas, Detroit, Miami and Seattle. All decimals are rounded to the nearest percentage point. This may result in certain numerical totals adding up to slightly more or slightly less than 100%
