This third book in the series was as thrilling and entertaining as the first two.  I'll just place the caveat that romantasy is not my favorite genre.  But I sped up some of the extended scenes that didn't particularly hold my interest.

Some criticisms I've read mention that the somewhat meandering storyline feels like filler.  I'm going to disagree with that and liken it more to classic literature--The Odyssey or The Iliad come to mind.  A hero's journey.  This time with dragons.  And the dragons are my favorite part of the book!  Snarky, loyal, and brave, they are excellent characters.  

I would not have stuck with the series if not for the excellent audio narration.
