World Lymphedema Day is observed on March 6th to raise awareness of lymphedema, a condition that causes swelling in the arms or legs. The day also honors people with lymphedema and supports those living with the condition.
I am one of 1 of 100,000 with primary lymphedema. Primary lymphedema occurs when the lymphatic system doesn't develop properly, often due to genetic factors, leading to swelling and fluid buildup in the limbs.
