ten things tuesday

Ten random things:

1)  This vacation has gone by too fast.

2)  I set up a FaceTime coffee date with one of my college besties and we had a delightful conversation.  This is going to happen regularly.

3)  I set up a lunch date with a former colleague who's gone on to big things at the local university.  I am proud to say I knew her when she was starting out.  I also had her sons as students (triplets and an older boy).  We haven't had a good old conversation in a long, long time.

4)  I went to breakfast with a former student.  We caught up on life, family, and school. A few other former students stopped by our table to say hello.  Warm fuzzies.

5)  I may have been over-doing it because my foot is tender.  I thought about putting the boot back on.  I just .... couldn't bring myself to.

6)  I have gone through my wardrobe and reduced it greatly.

7)  I'm going to contact a local charity to come pick it up.  Plus, there is a tote of Christmas stuff I'll never use.  That's gotta go!

8)  I have surpassed my reading goal.  The original goal was 75 books.  Then, I bumped it up to 100 books.  I have, in fact, read 175 books in 2024.

9)  This year had a LOT of challenges.  Starting with a sudden and unexpected move and ending with a broken foot and central serous chorioretinopathy.  The challenges taught me a lot and changed me in ways I am not quite sure I can articulate.

10)  This year also had a LOT of heart-warming moments.  Especially centered around family.
