1) When I was in the 5th grade, in 1976, I participated in the town's bicentennial celebration as part of a children's singing group (I hesitate to call it a choir because it was just a handful of us). I learned several patriotic songs that I still find myself humming.
2) My little city used to do big celebratory activities for July 4th. Now? Not so much. The flags aren't even lining Main Street.
3) I am whiling away the hours today. Nothing particular going on. Stay safe!
