2. Anything change with the pets in your life? I hung the French Bulldog picture my sister gave me

3. What was your job like this year? What do you do? Did any roles or assignments change? If you aren’t employed, base this question on your work at home or volunteering. my job is stressful as ever--and my teaching load changed so that for part of the year I am teaching a full slate of Advanced Placement courses (which is rigorous) and I also am the department chair, which is an interesting role.  I'm mentoring a new teacher.

4. What was the best book you read this year?  How many did you read? as of now I'm on book 111, and the best book--well, that's a tough decision!  Look for my year-end recap.

5. What did you do on your birthday and how old were you? Did you feel differently?  I turned 58 and I didn't do anything particular

6. What political or social issue stirred you the most?  the crisis in Palestine

7. Who was the most interesting new person you met? the host of the Christmas party I attended on Friday

8. What changed in your home?  I have decluttered--and I mean DECLUTTERED

9. What have you learned throughout the year? (Other than crafts)  Can be a new skill or a life lesson. I've learned a lot... about a lot

10. What was your favourite outfit for warm weather? Cooler weather?  what do you wear when you dress up? Any new clothes or accessories you really love? I've been rediscovering my love for jeans

11. Did you make or give up on any efforts to be healthier? Diet, water, exercise etc? no

12. Fave meals, snacks, desserts, restaurants etc? Eat out or eat in? I've been cooking a lot more

13. Did you learn any new crafts or techniques? What was your favourite thing you made?  either the mittens I knit for my friend to gift (she quilted bowl cozies for me) or the Santa hat I knit for her dog

14. What are your hopes and dreams for the new year?  (Some suggestions-family, travel, work, lifestyle, hobbies, pets, appearance) it's going to be a very busy year now that I'm becoming the chair of the library board of trustees

15. What was the best new/new-to-you thing you a) bought b) made c) acquired in some other way? I am drawing a blank on this one

Merry Christmas! I hope next time you're in VA, we can hook up! I'd love to meet you in person.

You have a full plate with school and your extracurricular activities. Good for you.

I need a serious decluttering. It WILL happen in my office after the new year, the first week!
