Tuesday 4

1. Are you currently reading a book you'd like to tell us about? Maybe a TV program you can recommend to us? I'm actually between books--I get to choose a new one later.  I did discover the show Alaska Daily and am streaming it.

2. Are you a Jane Austen fan? So many seem to be. If you are what is your favorite book and who is your favorite character.  If you aren't a fan, is there an author you especially like to read? Favorite character..etc? I haven't read much of Jane Austen but I've seen the movies--Elizabeth Bennett is witty and clever, I suppose she is my favorite.

3.  How do you spend your time during the day?  Do you set apart time to read, watch TV, study? I am a teacher by day and a slug by night.  I do set apart time to knit or read daily.

4. Have your beliefs changed in your life time? of course--experience broadens worldviews

5. What are your interests and hobbies? .. reading? writing? collecting? I love reading, knitting, and noodling around on the internet

6 How much time a week/day/month do you devote to your interests? I don't have any idea, but I do spend daily time on my interests

7. Do you share your interests with anyone? I taught my Virginia sister to knit and she's addicted to good yarn, too

8. Tell us why you enjoy your hobby, pastimes or interests. knitting is zen--repetitive and relaxing, reading interests me, and the internet is everything else

9. What emotions and feelings does summer conjure up for you? mostly, I think of summer vacation when I spend time rejuvenating and reworking my lessons

10. What's summer weather like in your neck of the woods? generally it's mild--70s and sunny but we do have weeks of hot, humid weather in the upper 80s that are miserable

11. Got some special summer meals you and your family enjoy? strawberry spinach salad with all fresh veggies and fruit

12. What do you enjoy doing in summer? Sports, trips.. do you go on vacation? I like having unstructured time and taking spontaneous trips

13. Did your parents have things better than you today? that's a tough call--it's hard to remember life before technology

14. What time period would you rather live in.. or are you okay with today? this is okay

15. What changes would you make for our time to make it nicer/better to live in? I would ease up on the immediate shame-game because there is so much anxiety tied up with technology's use or misuse

Oh good, another Alaska Daily fan. We watched the last episode last night. I wish I knew if they were going to renew it. It ends well so that if it's not renewed, you're not disappointed, but there's a thread they can pick up for a second season. Not like the Three Pines series on Amazon, which ended on a cliffhanger and then wasn't renewed. I really dislike it when TV shows end like that.

"Knitting is zen." I wish I were so skilled, but I assuredly am not.

A teacher by day and a slug by night sounds like a super hero!!

I'll have to look for Alaska Daily. I've tried Yellowstone and Succession and just wasn't hooked.

I'm still waiting for Mr. Darcy. Or Jo March's Professor Bhaer. Either one would do.

Mrs PM sometimes knits. She probably needs to do it more. She says it is relaxing.

:o)

Cheers
