"Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense."
This Ralph Waldo Emerson quote has hung in my bedroom since around 1979 and has traveled everywhere I've gone (yes I took it to Ireland). These are words I treasure.
“I shall pass through this world but once. Any good therefore that I can do or any kindness that I can show to any human being, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.”
This Stephen Grellet quote has been hanging in my classroom for 24 years. Hopefully, it has inspired all.
"I still find each day too short for all the thoughts I want to think, all the walks I want to take, all the books I want to read, and all the friends I want to see." John Burroughs

These are lovely sentiments! I need to remember the first quote especially. Letting go is something I struggle with.
