The Year Is Ending

1. Wintertime comfort foods, habits, hobbies I would say my comfort foods, habits, and hobbies don't especially change in the winter--although I am more apt to cook

2. Favorite seasonal/holiday music and songs my dad's annual holiday concerts!

3. The people I want to spend more time with next year my family

4. How much I could change my life in 1 year if I focused  probably a lot if I was willing to change

5. The valuable lessons I learned this year I think the biggest one is my self-reliance

6. How I’d describe 2022 in 10 words: Better than the previous two years but still quite stressful

7. My favorite Reads of 2022:  I've read 127 books so far this year--these are the standouts: Hamnet by Maggie O'Farrell, Harlem Shuffle by Colson Whitehead, Fairy Tale by Stephen King, The Sentence by Louise Erdrich, and A World of Curiosities by Louise Penny:

8. Best movies I saw in 2022: I really can't think of anything--I know I've watched movies this year

9. Favorite TV shows/episodes of 2022: Ted Lasso, Schitt's Creek, Three Pines

10. Memorable experiences from 2022: I paid off my car

11. Three people I enjoyed spending time with this year: my three sisters

12. How I handled challenges this year: I'm proud of how I rolled with the changes and challenges this year

13. What I’m leaving behind in 2022: faking it til I'm making it

14. How I changed most from beginning to end of the year: I spoke up for what I needed

15. What I want to tell myself before the New Year: You've got this!

And here I was pleased with myself for reading 69 books so far this year. Not a high for me, but definitely more than I've read in recent years.

I didn't write this in my blog because I forgot but we watched Ted Lasso, too. I googled it tonight to see when season 3 is coming out . . .they still don't know!
