Day 23: Write a thank you letter to your body.

Dear Body,

You have been taken for granted.  No more shame. Making peace with the weight has been the best decision we've ever made.  Taking the focus from a number to how the number is faring has made a big difference in what we're able to do. I'm trying my best to keep you healthy and strong.  And I've learned to listen to you and give you what you need.  

All this is to say thank you.  Thank you for a lifetime of motion and stillness.  For seeing, breathing, smelling, tasting, hearing, and touching.  Thank you for being soft to the touch and for not wrinkling too much.  Thank you for not hurting often.  Thank you for allowing me to march to the beat of my own drummer.  Thank you for reminding me there is still beauty and wonder in the world--remember when we had goosebumps last week? Thank you, thank you, thank you.
