 Thing one: The "Welcome back to school letter" from the new principal was an email sent from the school secretary, not what I expected--there was no personality to it, just incomplete information that will be coming in future emails.  I hope this doesn't foreshadow the school year.

Thing two: Once again I helped my bestie set up her school library.  I reorganized half of the non-fiction books by Dewey Decimal.  Tedious.

Thing three:  I'm not dreading going back to school but I'm not going in until I have to be there.  That's a big change for me (and might be hard to do) because I usually head in on my own time to set up the desks and decorate, get texts prepared, etc.  The first day of teacher workshops is the 15th.
