W. O. L. D.

1) This song tells the story of a man who has made a career in radio.  How many professions have you worked in? three--although 2 I wouldn't necessarily consider professions

2) He describes himself as "45 going on 15." This morning, do you feel older or younger than your years? I can't wrap my head around being 56, I think so much younger

3) He estimates that he's traveled thousands of miles, from town to city, as disc jockey at various stations. Have you ever relocated for a job? yes--for my first teaching job I moved to Western Maine

4) This song is written as though he's reached out to an ex. Is there someone from your past who is on your mind this morning? no

5) Tell us about a radio personality you grew up listening to. I can't remember his name! But yes!

6) This week's featured artist, Harry Chapin, was an Oscar nominee. Before he became a musician, he wrote and directed a documentary about boxing called Legendary Champions. When you sit down to watch a movie, would you prefer action, comedy, drama, fantasy, horror, mystery, romance, thriller or documentary? well... I guess it depends on my mood

7) Today Harry Chapin is fondly remembered for his philanthropy. He filled his calendar with benefit concerts that supported local food banks all around the country. How would you like to be remembered? as a highly respected, beloved social studies teacher

8) In 1973, when this song was popular, one of the top-selling toys was a Curious George book packaged with a plush Curious George. Can you recall a favorite book from your childhood? I had a pop-up book of fairy tales that I really loved--I wouldn't let my sisters read it because I was afraid they'd be too rough with it and ruin it

9) Random question: Here's $100. What will you spend it on? school supplies

You can't imagine being 56. Imagine what it's like staring at EIGHTY when in your brain you're only 335.

#2 It is even more pronounced when you are in your 70s.
#9 I think that it is lousy that teachers have to buy their own supplies, school systems should do that like they did when I was growing up.

#9...school supplies is a good answer. I made an Amazon Wish list for my classroom and almost everything got bought for my class. I am so excited about the toys for the kids.
I think young too...it is the kids; they keep us young. Loved your answers! Have a nice weekend.

Do teachers have to by their own supplies? I just turned 67 and my head feels like I am in my 30's. But my body sure does remind me!

I'm about to turn 58 and I don't think I think like my age, either. I don't know if it's just my own immaturity or if I can thank being around younger people and kids more.

My kids loved pop up books. And yes, you were right about your little sisters might be too rough on them. I'm a few months away from 80! It's hard to believe that it's rolling along so fast, these last six years.
