Friday 5
1) What one event from your lifetime would you change if you could, and why? I wouldn't--everything might be different and I'm content with my life as it is
2) If you could give one piece of advice to your younger self, what would it be and how old would your younger self be when they got it? Do you think your younger self would listen? I would tell myself to go seek out therapy--as young as I possibly could be--because it just wasn't available for me during the chaotic formative years; and yes, I would definitely listen
3) If you could have a conversation with the historical figure of your choosing, whom would you pick and why? What would you talk about? I would love to talk to Abigail Adams and learn about the influence she had in shaping the role of women in her time
4) What's a safety rule that's very important to you? brush the snow off your car so you can see clearly; scrape the windows!!!
5) What would you like to say to people in the future? love is always the answer
6) What's your favorite dish to bring to a summer cookout? potato chips
7) How much time have you spent outdoors this week? I went snowshoeing today and that was about an hour and a half of outside time on purpose
8) Where do you set your thermostat? I don't
9) How did you learn to swim? my town offered summer recreation classes
10) How do you avoid overheating? sweat?
11). What are you going to do this weekend? not too much
12) What’s your favorite way to spend time? reading, knitting, noodling around online
13) What’s the most useless thing you own that you would never get rid of? a strawberry huller--it's actually quite handy
14) Have you started planning your next vacation? I started planning a work trip to Miami in early June
15) Are you very active, or do you prefer to just relax in your free time or is it one and the same to you? I am a slug I prefer having down time because when I'm at school I'm all-in

Snowshoeing is something I've always wanted to try, but haven't. It seems much safer than skiing. I could have mentioned the strawberry huller now that you mention it. I have one from some Pampered Chef party. I think I've used it once.
Oh good, another potato chip bringer! LOL. You can't go wrong with those - or soft drinks.
Snowshoeing?! I'm impressed!
Your answer to #2 is good! I didn't think of thta when I was answering but I would have benefitted from counseling, too. As it was, I waited until I was in my mid 30's. To be honest, I didn't know a single person who went to any kind of counselor/therapy in the 70's. They may have but they kept it a secret.
Also, I have to ask . . .if you don't set your thermostat . . .who does?
Abigail Adams would be wonderful to chat with! I loved her "Dear Friend" letters to John. What a wise and strong woman.
