ReadingYou Lucky Dog  by Julia London

Listening to:  cars driving by

Loving:  Dad asked me to knit him some mittens

Thinking:  my department chair has a student teacher--she's going to observe me tomorrow

Feeling:  like getting my groove back is not going to take as long as I think it will

Celebrating:  my students seemed happy to be back with me

Grateful for:  I wrote up detailed lesson plans with copies made before vacation

Weather:  it is 3° and clear

Enjoying:  a delicious shepherd's pie that I baked Saturday

So good to hear you are having an easy time getting back into your groove and I am sure your students are glad to be back with you. You are a wonderful teacher! I love that little chart at the end. We women are so bad at most of those things. It's no wonder so many of us are stressed, anxiety ridden, and depressed.

love love shepherd's pie! Yum! Hubs starts student teaching next month, in his final push towards his teaching degree. He can't wait to get in the classroom, and to work. Which is pretty dang cool. I'm borrowing that infographic you posted about self-care resolutions. I need to see that daily!
