My nephew was crazy about Thomas Jefferson when he was a little boy. (He even named his favorite plush toy "Thomas" in tribute!) As a teen, he became very disillusioned by what he'd read about Jefferson, and seems to like Hamilton precisely for annoying Jefferson so. It's been interesting to watch his journey. I bet that as he continues to read, he'll come back to Jefferson. Rock stars have larger-than-life charisma and larger-than-life flaws, and our most popular Presidents are rock stars.
We learned a lot about Jefferson when we visited Monticello one year. He was quite the learned fellow. I am wondering about your teaching history, since this CRT business has reared its ugly head. Seems like much ado about nothing.
Not a big lover of brown if I am honest.
I don't know much about American history to be honest either. I've just picked up bits and bobs from TV and film.
:o)

Brown is such a warm and cozy color. I can see it being a favorite of yours :)
