
I've been feeling unsettled the past couple of weeks. A touch of anxiety, a touch of depression, a touch of ennui, all culminating in a vague sense of unease. I'm exhausted like I've never been exhausted before. I know I'm not alone in this, which although I hate for other people to feel this way, I'm glad I'm not the only one. So, I'm focusing on what I can do for self-care and I have made a therapy appointment for Friday and a massage appointment for Sunday. With Veteran's Day off this Thursday, taking Friday off feels like a good mental health break. And I'm fortunate to have a therapist that's a very good fit. Setting this up today has been my self-care.

I hope the day off helped you get back on track. I think it's wonderful that you've been able to perform in the classroom and, as they say in baseball, play hurt. (Even if the hurt doesn't show.)
