friday 5

Everything but Yul Brynner

  1. How have you recently kept yourself in check? I avoided shopping on Black Friday
  2. What’s the closest thing to a castle you’ve been in? I've been in a few castles when I was in Ireland--Blarney and Bunratty pop into mind
  3. What were the circumstances the last time you were hoarse? I had a day recently that I was doing some direct instruction all day long and was hoarse at the end of the day
  4. What’s your favorite song by Queen? oh, there are so many--You're My Best Friend, Love of My Life, and I Was Born To Love You
  5. For what will you likely pay a king’s ransom in the near future? my Christmas present to me (even though I don't know what it is yet)

I really want to go see a real castle. A few years ago I purchased a square foot of land somewhere in Scotland so M could be titled "Laird." With that comes free admission to the castle there. Someday!

I'm 25% Irish (my surname is an Irish name not uncommon in some U.S. cities with lots of Irish people) and dream of a visit someday. Never thought about its castles, though, so this gives me something new to put on my list. Maybe after a few drinks with Bono, I'll convince him to come along.
