This Side Of The Pond

1. What's something you've recently accomplished solo? since I live by myself, everything I do around the house (which, believe me, isn't much) I do solo--today was empty all the trashes day

2.  What's one product you use that never ever fails? WEN

3. Have you found your place in the world? Where is it? the home of my heart is Ireland, but my place in the world is with my parents--I'm at the stage in life where I assist them

4.  Worst movie you ever saw? ever?  wow--that's a toughie

5. What's the last fun thing you did? I started a new book last night and read about half of it, it's soooooo good!

6. What's your favorite Italian dish? I am an adventurous eater--so I try lots and have not been disappointed

7. Have you ever been to France? Any desire to visit there, and if so what would site or city would you most want to see? I have been to northern France and Paris, I loved it!  I would love to visit the south

8. Have you ever been to Disney, any of the parks at all? Are you a Disney superfan or something less than that? They're open right now so tell us, would you go if you had the time/money/a free trip? I have never been to Disney--I wanted to go with my sisters for my 50th birthday, I can't remember what stopped us (I know there was something that came up)

9. Your favorite place to go when you want to be quiet as a church mouse? Would those who know you well describe you as more church mouse or perhaps more like mighty mouse? I just get in my car or go home--I think it surprises people who are only acquainted with me that I'm a quiet mouse

10. Do you bake your own bread? Last time you had hot out-of-the-oven homemade bread? What's your favorite kind of bread? I do not bake much of anything--but the culinary arts class at school regularly sells freshly baked bread, so I get it often.  My favorite kind of bread is homemade oatmeal bread

11. What's something you might say is 'the greatest thing since sliced bread'? heated/cooling car seats

12.  Share with us five little things you're grateful for today. Small blessings. One catch-they all must start with the letter T.  today, tea, technology, teaching, theater

13. Tell us where you were and something about what life was like when you were 20- 21. I lived in Ireland when I was 21--and attended University College Cork--it was a great adventure and I took every opportunity to travel around and visit the country

14. What's on the menu at your house this week? I don't have one

15. Something you recently purchased where a coupon was involved? Do you regularly shop with coupons? I used rewards "dollars" at Walgreens just last night

Every time we go to Ireland, I feel like I'm "coming home." It's been many years since we were there and I suspect that Dublin, at least, is quite different than it was then.

I suppose most of the things I do are accomplished solo as well, although I have a husband. It's not like he helps with the laundry (which he should). I tried to talk him into baking cookies today but he doesn't seem to want to do that.

I feel so blessed to be able to be there for my Mom now that she lives nearby. We are lucky, aren't we?!

I hope you get to Disney. I've been there with kids and with adults, and I enjoyed the adult trips more. We don't cry, and we behave better in line!
