Let's Go To Dinner
1. When is the last time you went out to a meal with someone special? Tell us about it. Memorial weekend I went out with my Virginia sister and her family and my parents for our first post-pandemic meal
2. Show us a picture of your favorite cuisine.
3. What is the funniest thing a man/woman has said to you lately? I can't think of anything
4. What makes a gentleman a gentleman in today’s dating world? Are there any left? manners and listening, and yes there are some left
5. Is there anything you won’t tolerate when out to dinner with your significant other? being snarky to the server
6. What type of ambiance do you enjoy in an eating establishment? I like a more quiet setting--without the clatter of kitchen noises
7. Tell us about the worst public dining experience you ever had, whether it be a date or with your family. I'll go with the blind date who had me call him "Dr. Paul" and when I ordered a salad as my meal remarked that it was "good that I was mindful of my weight problem" to which I retorted that I didn't have a problem with my weight and asked if he did
8. What is the lamest or rudest thing a man/woman has said to you lately? I can't think of anything
9. Are you a good tipper? I am a generous tipper
10. Do you ask for doggie bags when you leave food on your plate at a restaurant? it depends on what is leftover, how soon I will be home, and how it will have to be prepared
11. What is your pet peeve about restaurants and dining out in general? hmmm... when I feel rushed
12. Do you prefer to order yourself or do you ever let your significant other order for you? it doesn't matter who does the ordering as long as there's at least a consultation
13. Describe your most intimate romantic dinner ever. (fantasy or real) it actually was in a group setting--the two of us were in our own little world
14. Do you enjoy piano bars? yes
15. If you could go anywhere in the world for dinner, where would it be and who would you be with? I would love to have a family dinner in Italy--we'd talked about taking a family trip there but then Covid...

You would love a meal in Italy. The waiter and waitresses are so charming and funny.
I love Italy.
:o)
Cheers

Dr. Paul, OMG, how bizarre. GREAT comeback, btw!!!!
I remember "Dr. Paul." It's an awful story, but so funny. Have you found him on social media. I wonder what lucky little lady has captured his heart? :)
Love your answer about "gentlemen." What good does allowing a man to pull out your chair for you do if he's a jerk? I'm glad those superficial things no longer paper over deeper insensitivity or a real lack of respect.
I don't think we are post pandemic... the whole country is code yellow except for WY who is still code orange... it's still infecting people we still have over 300 deaths a day to it.
Maybe you mean post vaccine? I know people who got covid after that even... one with a bad case as it's a variant...
sadly we moved to Colorado from the east coast, and it's pulling teeth to get people here vaccinated... when it could help the world they refuse
Dr. Paul...gross. What a jerk. I was reading along and my eyes popped when I read about the weight comment. What a nightmare. I suppose you learn from people like that...what you do not want in a partner anyway. Loved your answers! Have a nice day!

Dr. Paul...amazing. I wonder if he has any second dates after the first blind date.
Wow on "Dr. Paul." That is bizarre.
