Musical Maniac

1. Five problems with social media: keyboard warriors, trolls, influencers, false ideals, and clickbait

2. A place you would like to live, but have never visited

3. Someone who fascinates you and why: the author Louise Penny has created a world that I would love to live in, filled with relatable characters that feel like friends

4. Do you have tattoos?  What are they and why? Yes I have 6, they are a variety of symbols,  because they tell the story of my life--incidents and moments

5. A book you love, and one you didn’t. From my current reading list: Miracle Creek was the book I loved and When He Was Wicked (Bridgerton #6) was the book I didn't love

6. A fruit you dislike, and why I strongly dislike bananas--it's a texture thing: the slimy, soft, sickly sweet, sticky texture is off-putting plus they repeat on me

7. Two words/phrases that make you laugh: giggle and libation both make me smile

8. A quote you try to live by:

“To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; to leave the world a little better; whether be a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is the meaning of success.”― Ralph Waldo Emerson

9. Something you miss: hugs and courtesy

10. Three weird traits you have: obsessive-compulsive disorder, primary lymphedema, and PTSD

11. What you wore today: blue and white toile t-shirt and cuffed jeans

12. Word/phrase you use constantly: right

13. One thing you’re excited for: THE END OF THIS SCHOOL YEAR

14. Your feelings on ageism: I am aware of it and study it/teach it at school but have not experienced it personally

15. Three interesting facts about yourself: I don't know what would be considered interesting... I attended a Halloween party at Stephen King's house (it was a charity event but he personally invited me after I was his student liaison on my college campus when he gave a talk); I have been to 12 countries including living in Ireland for college;  I have lived within a three-mile radius of where I was born for the majority of my life

Wow, a Halloween party at Stephen King's house. I can't even imagine. Your quote got me thinking. I wonder if I have made anyone's life better . . . I hope so. Actually now that I think on it I have saved someone's life, so I guess there is that.

That's a great quote to live by, and it's my guess you have fulfilled much of it. We are going to do the Freedom Trail in Boston :)

I sent Still Life to my aunt/Godmother for her birthday this month. We'll see how she likes it. She has to, right? How can she not? Thank you for turning me on to Gamache.

The clickbait is driving me bonkers on Facebook as well.
I LOVE your Bookaholic graphic at the top of this blog.

A personal invitation from Stephen King! Tell us more....
