Love Story

1) The lyrics tell us about a romantic summer night on a balcony. Does your home have a balcony? no, but I have an awesome front porch

2) Taylor Swift sings that her father warns her boyfriend to stay away, but she sees him anyway. Tell us about a time you defied your parents. I can't really think of anything--there weren't many rules when I was growing up so I didn't have to defy any.

3) The castle in this video looks European, but it's in Arrington, TN. Castle Gwynn is the site of the annual Tennessee Renaissance Fair. This May the festival will be back, and among the items food vendors are offering are Scotch eggs. When did you most recently eat eggs, and how were they prepared? if quiche doesn't count, then scrambled are my go-to so I'm sure they must've been scrambled

4) Love Story is also the story of Jenny and Oliver in a book by Erich Segal and a movie starring Ali MacGraw and Ryan O'Neal. Are you familiar with either the book or the movie? I am familiar with the movie, although I can't remember if I've seen the whole thing

5) Taylor was born in Reading, PA. which is home to the Reading Railroad, one of the four railroads featured in Monopoly. Without looking it up, can you name the two most expensive Monopoly properties? I think it's Boardwalk and Park Place?  I just can't remember... I hate that game

6) When she's not performing on stage, Taylor likes to keep it casual and prefers to wear cowboy boots. Tell us about your favorite footwear.
I have multiple pairs of Hush Puppies Chaste Ballet flats, they are so comfortable

7) Taylor's brother, Austin Swift, is an actor and producer who studied photography at college. Think about the last picture you took. Did you use your phone, tablet or camera? (Feel free to share it, if you'd like.) phone

8) In 2008, the year this song was popular, the Emmy Award winning show Breaking Bad premiered. Were you a fan? oh!  I LOVED that show!!!  I have a couple of bobbleheads

9) Random question: You and your best friend sit down to write the story of how/when you met. Do you think the stories would be almost the same or quite different? (In other words, will you two remember the event the same way?) my bestie is notorious for her awful memory, so we would not remember it the same way

Hate Monopoly, eh? There's a Virginia Tech version that your sister would probably enjoy. I saw it in the stores pre-pandemic. I didn't mind the game as much as I minded the people I played it with when I was young, as they'd make up their own rules.

I love Monopoly but I haven't found someone to play with. It is great rainy day game

"There weren't many rules..." Man, I lived with the complete opposite of that!
Cute mani!

Ah, Love Story! I saw it as an adolescent and thought it was great. Then I saw it in my late 20s-early 30s and was ashamed I ever liked it. Then I watched it again recently and, while I acknowledge its corniness, damn if it didn't make me cry. It's not high art, but it's good entertainment.

Quiche counts, of course it does! lol
And, I want the Virginia Tech version of Monopoly mentioned by CountryDew. heehee

I'd forgotten about Hush Puppies. Oh yes, they are always a nice thing to put on tired feet. And an AWESOME front porch would trump any mere balcony.
