Waiting For Tonight

1) In this song, Jennifer Lopez anticipates a night of unbridled passion with the love of her life. What are you waiting for tonight? (No pressure; it doesn't have to be as thrilling as hers.) I have to pick up curbside groceries from Walmart--the first time I've ordered since October

2) She sings that she's glad she's beyond those nights that found her tossing and turning alone in her bed. Did you enjoy restful sleep last night? yes!

3) Whatever Jennifer has planned for tonight, it won't include alcohol. She never drinks liquor. What's the last adult beverage you enjoyed? October 2019 I had a glass of wine that interacted with a blood pressure medication that I had just started taking and passed out--I scared the bejeepers out of the people I was with and haven't had a drink since.  Drugs and alcohol don't mix.

4) Ms. Lopez performed "Waiting for Tonight" during last year's Super Bowl halftime show. Will you be watching The Big Game this weekend? I will not, the Puppy Bowl will be on my screen

5) Speaking of this weekend, The Weeknd will headline the Super Bowl 2021 halftime show. Are you a fan of his? I've never heard of The Weekend (is it a them, a him, a her, a band?).  I guess I better read the link.

6) Super Bowl Sunday is the #1 day for guacamole consumption in the US. When did you most recently eat something with avocado in it? I had some guacamole in the last month

7) Chicken wings are a popular Super Bowl dish, too. When did you most recently eat chicken? How was it prepared? I had a baked, stuffed chicken breast

8) This year, fast food chain Chipotle will run their first-ever Super Bowl ad. Do you pay closer attention to commercials during the Super Bowl?
the ads usually are fun

9) Random question: Are you more likely to pretend to be more naive than you really are, or more sophisticated? I really don't know--I'm pretty genuine

I never heard of "The Weeknd" either, I had to google him. I guess it is one guy who calls himself "The Weekend"

That sounds like a very bad reaction to alcohol and blood pressure meds. I take BP meds, too. Be careful!

#3 -- You sound like my nephew. I know there are people who don't believe there's a college student who doesn't drink, but he doesn't because of an interaction with his meds that was memorable AND unpleasant.

And yes, he chooses to spell his name Weeknd. It's his name. Honest. Click the link!

I;m so jealous of all you guys who sleep well. I had a very hard time sleeping last night because of neck pain. But I never sleep well.

Oh my, that's scary about your bp meds and the wine! I'm glad mine doesn't seem to react in any way. I don't drink a lot of wine, but I'd miss it.

I also had a bad reaction to blood pressure meds and alcohol. Not as bad as yours, but I did feel sick. I’m fine with one drink, though.

I take so many meds that interact with alcohol, but in my case it just makes me get "drunk" a little faster so I only drink at home where I can always sleep on the couch if I can't handle the stairs. :)
